Sealed Discount bid on SOR are invited from Registered Transport Contractors of ECL for transportation of coal by Tipping Trucks from different collieries of Bankola Area to the different  routes/locations :-

The quantities may vary due to unavoidable circumstances beyond control of management, for which no claim from the contractors will be admissible by the management. The distance slab mentioned above and hence its rates are approximate only and may vary subject to the measurement of actual distance as measured by the Distance Measurement Committee as per SOR. If need arises within the year, the allocated places for dumping of different collieries within the Sidings may vary, in which case, the distance slab and hence rate may vary. In such cases, the distances may be measured afresh by the Distance Measurement Committee and if slab changes, then rate will be determined accordingly. The quantity of coal mentioned may include a small quantity of coal to be transported for Boiler and Domestic consumption within a lead of 0 – 0.5 KM (except Shyamsundarpur Colliery where this distance may be 0 – 1 KM) and will be as per the direction of unit management. The rate applicable for this quantity will be as mentioned in SOR for that slab.

The rates mentioned above and in BOQ are approximate only and may change as per revised rates of SOR applicable during the period of contract. This bid is to be guided by detailed terms and conditions of the SOR effective during the period of contract.
                                                                                                                                              
Eligibility Criteria:
1) The bidder shall have executed similar transportation work (coal ) during any of the preceding 7 years at least 25% of the work value tendered (job-wise) in Govt./Semi Govt./Public Sector/Joint Sector/Public Limited Cos. in Private Sector.
2) Bidder shall have ownership of a fleet of minimum 1/3 rd. of Tipping Trucks (as required for the bid in question for this work). In case the bidder is having higher capacity Tipping Trucks the total capacity of such tipping trucks shall match the required ownership capacity.

Earnest Money: (1% of the estimated cost rounded off to nearest hundred rupees, subject to a maximum of Rs.10.00 Lakhs) as initial Security money/ Earnest Money to be deposited in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “Eastern Coalfields Limited, Area-VI” payable at Asansol on any RBI approved scheduled Bank at the time of submission of tender paper.
Earnest money will be forfeited in case of failure of the party to start work within 10 days of issue of LOI/Work Order. Earnest money of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after finalization of bid.

Receipt of Tenders:
Bids are to be received in sealed covers from 10 AM to 1.00 PM on 21.02.2012 at the chamber of the Addl. G.M.at office of the General Manager, Bankola Area. ECL.

Opening of Tenders:
Part-I tender will be opened at 3-30 P.M. on 22.02.2012 at the Office of the G.M., Bankola Area.
The company is not under any obligation to accept the lowest bidder / bidders and reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever, and also to distribute the work and allot the work / works to more than one tenderer, at its sole discretion.
