Sealed Discount bids on SOR are invited from Registered Transport Contractors of ECL for transportation of sand by Tipping Trucks / Trucks for the following routes / locations:


The above quantities are as per plan and projections. This may vary due to unavoidable circumstances beyond control of management, for which no claim from the contractors will be admissible by the management. The distance slab mentioned above and hence its rates are approximate only and may vary subject to the measurement of actual distance by the distance measurement committee as per SOR. The distance and hence rate of sand transportation depends upon availability of sand at the Ghat mentioned above and may change if need arises. The distance slab mentioned above does not include river bed distance. The river bed distance of a particular ghat will be measured by the distance measurement committee which will be added to the distance of sand bunkers of different collieries up to the river bed. Accordingly distance slabs and hence rates will be ascertained as per effective SOR.

This bid is to be guided by detailed terms & conditions of the SOR effective from 01.07.2011 up to the period of contract.
 
Earnest Money: (1% of the estimated cost mentioned in Page-1 & Bill of Quantity against each work rounded off to nearest hundred rupees, subject to a maximum of Rs.10 lakhs) as initial security money/earnest money to be deposited in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of “ Eastern Coalfields Limited, Area-VI” payable at Asansol on any RBI approved scheduled Bank at the time of submission of the tender paper.
Earnest money will be forfeited in case of failure of the party to start work within 10 days of issue of LOI/ Work Order. Earnest money of unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after finalization of bid.

Receipt of Tenders:
Bids are to be received in sealed covers from 10.00 AM to 1.00 PM on 16.02.2012 at the Chamber of the Addl. GM of GM’s office, Bankola Area.

Opening of Tenders:
Tenders will be opened at 3-30 P.M. on 17.02.2012 at office of the GM, Bankola Area. ECL. The company is not under any obligation to accept the lowest bidder / bidders and reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reason whatsoever, and also to distribute the work and allot the work / works to more than one tenderers, at its sole discretion.
