Sealed Discount Bid on SOR are invited from relevant / appropriate* Registered Transport contractors of ECL for Transportation of Coal by Tipping Trucks / Mechanical loading by payloader for the following routs / location for the period from 01.04.2012 to 31.03.2013 at Jhanjra Area on likely effective rate applicable from time to time on SOR applicable from 01.07.2011 up to the period of contract.


The above quantities are as per plan and projections. This may vary due to unavoidable circumstances beyond control of management, for which no claim from the contractors will be admissible by the management.
For detailed terms 7 conditions and information refer SOR available with the department. For detailed BOQ refer page-4 (Annexure) . This bid is to be guided by detailed terms & conditions of the SOR effective from 01.04.2011 to 31.03.2013 and will be issued from time to time from HQ.

Earnest Money:
Rs.95081.00 for coal transport and Rs.4368.00 for payloader loading (1% of the estimated cost rounded off to nearest hundred rupees, subject to a maximum of Rs.10.00 lakhs) as Earnest Money to be deposited with AFM / JhanjraArea in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Eastern Coalfields Limited, Jhanjra Project, payable at Asansol on any RBI approved Scheduled Bank.
Earnest Money will be forfeited in case of failure of the part to start the work within 10 days of issue of LOI /Work Order or withdrawal of offer after opening of Part-1.
Earnest Money of the unsuccessful bidders will be refunded after finalization of bid.

Receipt of Tenders:
Bids are to be received in sealed covers up to 13.00 hrs. on 08/02/2012 at the office of the GM, Jhanjra Area.( Area Sales Deptt.)

Opening of Tenders:
Tenders will be opened at 15.00 hrs. on 08/02/2012  and if it is Sunday / holiday in that case next working day.
The Company is not under any obligation to accept the lowest bidder / bidders and reserves the right to reject any or all the tender with assigning justification & proper reason whatsoever and also to distribute the work and allot the work / works amongst more than one tenderer, if their quoted rate is same.
