NAGENDRA KUMAR

Sri.
Nagendra Kumar was born on 07-04-1959 at Patna. After graduating in
Mining Engineering (B. Tech – Mining) from Indian School of Mines,
Dhanbad in the year 1980, he joined CCL as junior Executive Trainee in
1980. In his first 20 years in CCL, he has worked for almost 6 years as
Manager and 7 years as Project Officer.
He has spent most of his career in reviving difficult underground and
opencast mines and has the experience of working with almost all kind
of mechanization in underground and opencast. He was transferred to ECL
in 2001 in the same capacity and later assumed the charge of General
Manager in 2004. He was actively associated with indiginization of Long
wall equipment and has presented a number of papers on its successful
implementation. His latest achievement is the successful operation of
Continuous Miner in Jhanjra Area in ECL matching World Standards in
production and safety.
Sri. Kumar is a member of MGMI, IMMA and Institution of Engineers.
He has traveled foreign countries like South Africa and China on
official tour.
Sri. Kumar is a fond of cricket, books, old melody songs and
Rabindra Sangeet too.
