Sri A.K.Sinha joined Eastern Coalfields Limited (A Subsidiary of Coal India Limited) as Director (Finance) on 17.04.2006. Before joining ECL he worked in different places as under –

1.Joined as Accounts Officer in the year 1977 in Sripur Area of ECL and worked there in different capacities till 1991.
2.Worked in ECL (H.Q) from 1991 to 2001.
3.Transferred to BCCL where he worked till 2003 and before joining ECL as Director (Finance) was posted  at CIL (H.Q), Kolkata till 16.4.2006.

Graduated in Science (Hons. In Physics) from Belur Ramakrishna Vidya Mandir, Calcutta University. L.L.B. from Calcutta University.
Chartered Accountancy from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Calcutta. Associate Membership of Chartered Accountants.
Adorned the Honorary post of Chairman of Asansol Chapter of Chartered Accountants.
